Volunteer Information

Bike Park Volunteers

The design of the Redmond Bike Park is a result of an extensive public involvement effort which included the local youth and adult riders, professional bike park designers and Parks Staff. The project will be built and maintained with a significant amount of volunteer labor under the oversight of the Parks and Recreation Department.

You can sign up to be a Trail Builder or a Trail Steward.  More details about each volunteer category are listed below.

If you haven't already, sign up now by clicking the button below.

Our volunteer system is powered by Shiftboard. The button above will take you to a page where you can apply for a volunteer position.

"Outside" Work Groups:

There is lots of work to do at the Bike Park.  If you are a registered volunteer and would like to schedule a work group outside of one of our scheduled Work Party dates, contact David Shaw to set it up.  One of our Trail Crew Leaders must be on site during any outside work groups.

Work Party Ground Rules:

We will be doing everything possible to maintain a safe an orderly construction site at the Bike Park.  We want all of our volunteers to know what will be expected of them and how you can help keep the Bike Park a safe and fun place to be.

Below are the ground rules for the work parties.

Safety first – Everyone must follow all safety rules while at the construction site.

Waiver form – Everyone at the construction site must submit a Waiver Form signed by an adult.  Volunteers under the age of 18 must sign their form AND have it signed by a parent or legal guardian.  One signed Waiver Form will cover all the work done at any Bike Park event for one year.  Forms will be available at the Bike Park site or may be downloaded via the links above.

Age limit – All volunteers must be 12 + years old, or must be accompanied by an adult while on site. Unattended children will be asked to leave the construction zone.

Expectations – To create and maintain a safe and orderly construction zone, everyone must follow all direction or you will be asked to leave. “Lone Rangers” will not be tolerated.
