Summer Camp RFPs
​Thank you for your interest in offering a summer camp through Redmond Parks & Recreation!

Program proposals must be completed by Monday, December 17, 2018, one proposal per program, to be considered for Summer 2019. Staff will review your proposal(s) and follow-up with you by Friday, January 4, 2019 if you have been selected.

Camps follow the LWSD calendar, and typically run in full (9am to 4pm) or half day (9am to Noon or 1pm to 4pm) sessions, starting June 24 through August 30, 2019.

Please read the following prior to submitting your Summer Camp Program Proposal to determine if you meet the minimum qualifications for working with the City.

As a City of Redmond Summer Camp Contractor, I will:

  • Provide a staff to participant ratio of 1:10    
  • Ensure all staff have applicable certifications, including current CPR/First Aid
  • Run background checks on all staff/volunteers who will be working in programs
  • Prepare all staff with a name tag (staff shirt with organization name preferred)
  • Confirm that instructors are experienced and qualified to teach program content
  • Deliver quality and inclusive supervision of all participants during the program, which includes not leaving participants unattended at any time and not dismissing participants until his/her parent/guardian arrives
  • Provide adequate preparation and arrive on-time to ensure all activities begin on schedule
  • Maintain all necessary paperwork as required by the City, including medical waivers and accurate attendance counts
  • Enforce all rules and regulations as required by the City
  • Represent the City of Redmond in a professional manner
