No. Our system only allows us to begin accepting payments for applications/renewals after the 1st of each year, for that calendar year. In the first two weeks of January, we will be sending out renewal notices to our previous year license holders. Once you receive the renewal notice, you will be able to access your online account and make payment. If you require your license before you receive your renewal notice, and it is after the 1st of the year, please contact us and we can process your renewal.

House Bill 2005, passed by the Washington State Legislature in 2017, takes effect January 1, 2019. The bill created a model definition for “engaging in business” in order to create consistency amongst all Washington State cities who enforce a business licensing program. The bill also created a minimum sales/revenue threshold for those coming in to the City to conduct business.
