Yes, customers should still pay their regular utility bills during the COVID-19 outbreak. However, the City is taking the following steps to help our residential and business customers who might be worried about paying their bills:
- The City has suspended water shut-offs, until further notice.
- The City is waiving late fees and interest charges, until further notice.
- The City is offering flexible payment plans to customers who indicate a financial impact or hardship as a result of COVID-19. The City will work with customers to identify an appropriate amount to pay each month over a period of up to 6 months, in order to bring accounts current.
- The City is maintaining its low-income-senior and low-income-disabled discounts, as allowed by WA State law.
The City encourages everyone to pay their bills online, by phone, by mail, or use the utility drop box located outside City Hall on the traffic island. You may also email us at utilitybilling@redmond.gov or call us at 425-556-2152.
