REDMOND, WA – The City of Redmond will open its grant application process for community organizations interested in applying for 2023-2024 human services funding on Monday, March 14, 2022. Applications must be submitted by 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 28, 2022. Redmond participates in a joint, online application along with 15 other King County cities. Interested applicants are strongly encouraged to attend one of two virtual informational workshops, which are scheduled from 1 – 3 p.m. on Tuesday, March 15 and from 9 – 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 16.
Submitted applications will be reviewed by the City of Redmond Human Services Commission, a seven-member volunteer board appointed by the Mayor and approved by the City Council. Commission recommendations are expected by September with consideration by City Council planned for October. Final allocation amounts will be approved and adopted as part of the overall city budget.
First-time applicants are welcome, and it is recommended to contact city staff to discuss your proposal as soon as possible. Staff are available to help with any questions related to the City’s process and to answer questions the applicants may have about the content of the application.
