May 4, 2020

Officers responded to a disturbance call after employees asked a couple to pack up their camping supplies and move along from the property. An adult male was placed under arrest for Assault third degree after police learned he had attempted to punch an employee at the business. The suspect was booked into jail pending a court appearance.

- Type: Theft
Fourteen separate reports were taken of vehicles having been broken into overnight at an apartment complex parking garage. Items taken included a passport, social security card, clothing and barber supplies. Video evidence was collected and is being used to attempt to identify the suspects.

An observant patrol officer noticed a suspicious vehicle and learned it had been reported stolen. Police detained an adult couple after they returned to the parked car. Both were arrested for being in possession of the stolen vehicle.

Police were alerted to a burglary-in-progress after a witness spotted two males attempting to break into a local thrift store. The duo jumped into a car and fled the area, but thanks to helpful witness descriptions, they were soon located. They both have lengthy criminal histories, and charges are pending.

A local grocery store reported that they received two $100 bills they believed to be counterfeit and passed by a known fraudster to the business. The bills were taken as evidence and are being examined for authenticity. This case is under investigation.

Officers investigated after an unidentified thief broke into a neighborhood mailbox. An unknown amount of mail was stolen.
May 10, 2020

- Location: 16500 block of NE 118th St.
- Type: Theft
- Case Number: 20-008871
A resident called police after his home security video showed an unknown prowler entering his vehicle parked in the driveway. The thief stole $5 in coins and a bag of potato chips. Police collected the video as evidence and the case is under investigation.
