March 30, 2020

- Type: Vehicle Prowls
An unidentified prowler broke into several parked cars and stole assorted property that had been left inside.

A thief stole a Jeep from an auto repair shop. Renton Police found the vehicle a few days later and it was returned to the rightful owner. No arrests have been made.
March 31, 2020

Police arrested a 46-year-old male on suspicion of shoplifting electronics and possessing methamphetamines. Charges are pending.

A thief broke into several mailboxes and stole mail from a Redmond neighborhood. There are currently no suspects.
April 1, 2020

Police responded to a report of two males fighting on a bus. Apparently, the dispute was over whether a bus window should be open or closed. One of the subjects was uncooperative and aggressive towards officers and was arrested. He faces charges for assault, harassment, obstructing law enforcement and unlawful transit conduct.
April 2, 2020

A thief stole a store employee's phone while it was sitting in a shopping cart while she was working. When she couldn't find her phone, she called it and heard it ringing inside the suspect's pocket. The suspect has a lengthy record of theft, illegal drug possession, and other criminal behavior and is facing charges.

A witness called 911 after he saw a driver swerving all over the road, hit a mailbox, nearly hit a pedestrian, park in his driveway, and stumble into his house. Police investigated, and the driver is facing DUI and hit-and-run charges.
April 3, 2020

- Type: Theft
An unidentified thief pried open several mailboxes and stole mail. RPD recommends signing up for "Informed Delivery" with US Postal Service, which will send digital photos of the mail they deliver each day, so if you're a victim of theft, you know what was stolen. https://informeddelivery.usps.com/Â

A grocery employee reported a customer had made purchases with two counterfeit $100 bills. No suspect information was available.

A thief stole a truck out of an apartment parking garage. Police have not identified a suspect.
