A woman called police to report a coat and two purses had been taken from inside her home while she was away. The items were located outside the home, but a small amount of cash was missing. There was no suspect information available.
May 12, 2020

- Case Number: 20-009073
Officers were called to a local business after employees discovered approximately $800 worth of potted plants were stolen overnight. No suspect information exists at this time.
May 13, 2020

An unknown suspect removed a secured golf cart from a local church and made their getaway undetected. The incident is under investigation.

- Type: Reckless Burning
- Case Number: 20-009054
Officers and firefighters responded to an area near the slough trail after a resident noticed a small fire. The campfire was being tended to by a person experiencing homelessness who was preparing to cook dinner. Given the large amount of dry brush nearby, the subject was cited for the crime of Reckless Burning. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire.

A thief stole a bicycle while the owner was shopping at a local business, and the bike was left out front. No suspect information exists.
May 15, 2020

- Location: 9800 block of Avondale Road
- Type: Burglary
- Case Number: 20-009217
A resident called police after waking to find his front door open and car keys missing from where he had left them in his apartment. The victim's nearby vehicle had also been entered, and items valued at $150 were missing. The thief's identity is not known.
May 16, 2020

- Location: 6500 block of East Lake Sammamish Parkway NE
- Type: Theft
- Case Number: 20-009352
While on patrol, an officer observed two individuals loading a large item into a van behind a closed business in the dark. The vehicle left the parking lot but was stopped by officers nearby. A rotor-tiller was observed in the back of the van with evidence of it belonging to the closed business. The vehicle and its contents were impounded, pending an application for a search warrant. The occupants were arrested for various traffic and drug crimes. The theft investigation is continuing.

A 12-year-old was sitting on a bench, watching videos on his phone, when an unknown suspect approached him and grabbed the phone out of his hands. The suspect left the area on foot and was not located by officers.
