A 56-year-old female was arrested after she reportedly stole a pair of sunglasses from a drug store and assaulted an employee. The employee told police the suspect pushed her, spit in her face, and called her racial slurs. The suspect is facing assault and obstruction charges.

Several senior home residents reported having cash and jewelry taken from their rooms. Police have identified the suspect and charges are pending.

A 23-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of assault after he threw a baseball bat and hit a classmate in the head. The victim was treated at a local hospital for his injuries and the suspect was booked into jail.

A landscaper returned to his truck and found a thief smashed his window and stolen his phone and his lunch. There was no suspect information available.

An unidentified car prowler smashed a vehicle window and stole camping gear and clothing.
February 13, 2020

An 18-year-old male was arrested after he stole alcohol and a floral candy arrangement to give to his girlfriend for Valentine's Day. The suspect is facing charges for providing a false name to police, theft, and for being a minor in possession of alcohol.

A woman was conned out of thousands of dollars by a caller posing as a Social Security Administration official. The suspect convinced the victim that she had a warrant and would be arrested if she did not send money to an address in New Jersey. The fraudster has not been identified. RPD advises that law enforcement and government officials will never demand cash or payments in gift cards over the phone.

A 35-year-old female was arrested on suspicion of driving with a suspended license and possession of meth, heroin, and burglary tools.

Police arrested a 40-year-old driver after she drove over some landscaping and into the side of a building. The suspect exhibited numerous signs of intoxication and smelled strongly of alcohol. No one inside the building was injured and the suspect was booked into jail.
