December 9, 2019

A man returning from work found his vehicle had been stolen from where he parked it at the transit center. A second caller at the same location reported her vehicle ignition was damaged and it appeared someone had attempted to take her vehicle. No arrests have been made.

Police investigated a burglary after a woman reported someone had broken into her residence and stole a box full of marijuana and about $50 in loose change. Evidence gathered at the scene is being processed.
December 10, 2019

A 28-year-old male made a series of bad decisions that led to him being arrested by Redmond officers. Police were initially called when a witness saw the suspect driving erratically, hitting curbs and swerving all over the road. Officers quickly located the suspect, who had pulled over and was attempting to change a flat tire. Turns out he had swiped the car from a gym parking lot shortly before he was found by RPD. Witnesses at the gym reported seeing the suspect careen around the parking lot, damaging several vehicles. The suspect was also found in possession of suspected burglary tools and drug paraphernalia. Needless to say, he is facing a number of criminal charges.

A 20-year-old male is facing theft charges after he was seen shoplifting an 18-pack of Modelo beer.

A thief stole a Honda CRV from an apartment parking lot sometime overnight. Renton Police found the car the following day but no suspects have been arrested.
December 11, 2019

Several car owners reported their vehicle windows had been smashed and various valuables were stolen. The thief's identity is unknown.

A woman reported she had been coerced into sharing personal identity information over the phone by someone claiming to be a Social Security Administration official. Police advised she keep an eye on her accounts and report any suspicious activity.

A woman reported that she had been the victim of a porch pirate. Seattle PD called the victim after finding a package with her Redmond address on the label. The package still contained the items the victim had purchased and was returned to her. The suspect is not known.

An unidentified prowler smashed a car window and stole a laptop that had been left inside.

A woman reported someone had fraudulently charged more than $100 on her debit card while the card was still in her possession. The thief's identity is not known.
December 15, 2019

A driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI after an officer saw him driving without headlights in the middle of the night. Upon contact, the suspect exhibited numerous signs of drunkenness. The 23-year-old was booked and then sent home in an Uber.

A thief stole a wallet out of a vehicle and used the credit cards soon after. The suspect's identity is not known.
