November 4, 2019

A passer-by noticed a car window had been broken out and called police. The responding officer located the car owner at his apartment nearby and the victim reported his laptop, a backpack, clothing. electronics and other items had been stolen. The thief's identity is not known.

A woman reported she had been threatened with arrest over the phone by a caller posing as a law enforcement officer. The fraudster claimed the victim's information had been found in a vehicle containing drugs and blood south of the Texas border. The caller knew the victim's personal information, such as her social security number and address. The victim wisely did not send any money and the suspect is not known.

A woman's wallet was stolen while she was shopping and the thief used her credit cards at local stores soon after. There was no suspect information immediately available.

A vehicle owner returned to his unlocked car to find someone had entered it and stolen several items. The prowler has not been identified.

A man called police after noticing someone had stolen his license plates and replaced them with different ones. It turned out the new plates had been reported stolen to Seattle Police. The thief is not known.

Police investigated a report of a stolen vehicle after a woman found her 1999 Acura had been stolen from her apartment parking lot sometime overnight. The suspect has not been identified.

Officers arrested a 40-year-old male after he was seen shoplifting tools from a home improvement store. A loss prevention employee relayed the suspect's description to police, who found him running away from the area minutes later. The suspect was arrested without incident.

A 61-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of DUI after he crashed into a parked car in a church parking lot. Witnesses told police the driver got out of his heavily damaged car and wandered away claiming he had to use the bathroom and his house was nearby. Police located the suspect, had him transported to the hospital for treatment for minor injuries, and had blood drawn to test alcohol content.

A sandwich snatcher stole food and cash from a local fast food restaurant. The suspect ordered two sandwiches and put down a $50 bill for payment. When the cashier handed over $28 in change to him, the thief grabbed the $50, the change, and the sandwiches and took off. No weapons or threats were used in this hoagie hustle. Police did not locate the suspect.
