A prowler smashed a car window and made off with a purse that had been left inside on the passenger seat. There was no suspect information available.

A woman called police after she discovered her Honda had been stolen from its parking place sometime overnight. Renton Police located the vehicle in their city and the car was returned to its owner. No suspects have been arrested.

A couple returned home to find a burglar had broken into their house and stolen jewelry, electronics and other items. The suspect apparently entered the residence through an unlocked sliding door. Investigation is ongoing.
October 22, 2019

A 46-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of hit and run after a witness saw him back a truck into a parked car and then leave the area. Witnesses told police the suspect made no attempt to leave contact information on the victim's car.

An unidentified thief stole a bag of pickleball equipment and other items from an unlocked vehicle.

A group posing as potential car buyers stole a vehicle from a dealership. The dealership employee said the suspects had asked for the key to listen to the car's engine and then they peeled out of the lot. Seattle police found the unoccupied car two days later and it was returned to the owner. No arrests have been made.

A fraudster posing as a Department of Homeland Security official convinced a woman and send more than $2000 in gift cards over the phone. The caller claimed the victim had not filed a specific form and threatened her with arrest. Official government agencies will never demand payment over the phone or ask to be paid in gift cards.

A wallet and laptop were stolen out of an unlocked vehicle sometime overnight. The thief then used the stolen credit cards at stores around the area. The suspect has not been identified.

October 26, 2019

A 49-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of DUI after he was involved in a two car collision. An officer noticed a smell of alcohol emitting from the driver and field sobriety tests and a breathalyzer confirmed the suspect was intoxicated.
October 27, 2019

A family returned home to find their apartment had been ransacked and several valuables had been stolen. The unidentified thief appeared to have entered through an unlocked door. Evidence collected at the scene is being processed.
