July 22, 2019

Police received a report that three packages had been stolen from an apartment porch sometime in the last few days. The thief is not known.

A witness called police after spotting a driver drifting out of his lane and driving way below the speed limit. Upon contact, officers found the 59-year-old driver to be showing signs of extreme intoxication. A breath test confirmed the driver was indeed not at all sober. The suspect was booked and his car was towed.

A 44-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting tools from a home improvement store.

A thief grabbed the tip jar off the counter of a local coffee shop and fled the area on foot. Police searched the area but the suspect was not located. The employee estimated the crook made off with about $25 or $30 of hard-earned tips.

Credit cards and other valuables were stolen out of an unsecured locker at a local gym. The thief used the stolen credit cards shortly after the theft. No suspect information was immediately available.
July 24, 2019

Police arrested a 21-year-old male for disorderly conduct after several people reported him dancing in the middle of the roadway causing a traffic issue. When officers contacted him to request he move his dance party of one to a more appropriate location, he became surly and argumentative. Officers suspected him of also being responsible for earlier reports of a male spraying people in a parking lot with some sort of rank-smelling aerosol. A can of AXE body spray was found in the suspect's pocket and likely the odoriferous product he had forced on unsuspecting people.

A prowler smashed a car window and stole a laptop, backpack and other electronics that had been left inside. No suspect information was available.

A resident reported his car had been stolen sometime overnight after it had been left unlocked and with the keys inside. The suspect is not known.
July 26, 2019

An officer pulled over a driver with expired tabs after recognizing her as someone he had pulled over two months ago for expired tabs. The 54-year-old female was also driving without insurance and told the officer she was selling the car in three days so she didn't have required documentation. Unfortunately, the officer remembered she had told him the same story two months ago. She is facing several charges and was advised to get her documents in order.

An apartment complex employee found an exterior garage door had been kicked in sometime overnight. It was not immediately known if property had been stolen or who was responsible.

Police are investigating a fraud where more than $10,000 was transferred in incremental amounts out of the victim's checking account over the last two weeks. The suspect has not yet been identified.
