August 23, 2018 Redmond police are asking the public to help identify a male who robbed a local bank on Saturday afternoon. The incident occurred at the bank inside the Safeway grocery store at 15000 NE 24th St. in Redmond around 3 p.m. on August 18. The suspect calmly approached the counter and handed the teller a note stating he didn't want to hurt anyone and to put cash in an envelope. The teller complied and the suspect walked out of the store. The suspect was described as a Hispanic male in his 20s and about 5 feet tall. He was wearing a black "Jack Skellington" baseball hat, dark sunglasses, black Nike jacket over a blue/black shirt with a US flag image, blue jeans and dark colored shoes.
