REDMOND, Wa - An incident involving plainclothes Bellevue police in a Redmond parking lot Tuesday evening startled witnesses but ended peacefully. Bellevue officers were assisting Kirkland Police with tracking a female with numerous felony warrants. The suspect is a prolific criminal offender known to all Eastside agencies. Police approached her in her vehicle in a parking lot at Bear Creek Village just before 6 p.m.. Officers removed her from the car and took her into custody. There was also a dog in the suspect's vehicle that jumped out of the ajar door and attacked another dog that was nearby. A Bellevue officer jumped in to break up the dog fight and unintentionally discharged his firearm into the pavement. Redmond police were not involved but are investigating, as is typical when another agency has an incident in a neighboring jurisdiction.
