Police received a report of three packages being stolen off a front porch sometime over the weekend. There is no suspect information.

Officers responded to a report from a loss prevention manager of a shoplifter in custody at a local department store. The 43-year-old suspect had been seen stealing clothing, pizza and other items. The suspect was booked on suspicion of Theft in the Third Degree.

A 25-year-old male was arrested after he was seen shoplifting by department store employees. Officers found the suspect to be in possession of stolen merchandise, suspected meth and heroin, a BB gun and checks that did not belong to him. The suspect was booked into jail and multiple charges are pending.

An unknown car prowler entered an unlocked work van and stole several tools.

Officers searched for a male suspected of entering an unlocked apartment and stealing a backpack and laptop. Police combed the area for the suspect but he was not located.
February 28, 2019

Police investigated a burglary after employees at a construction company discovered someone had broken into a garage and stolen tools. Evidence gathered at the scene is being processed but no suspect information was immediately available.

An employee at a local apartment complex called police after he found two people sleeping inside the leasing office. The two subjects had apparently pried the door to the office open to gain entry and spent the night there. The employee gave police a description of the suspects, who had left the area on foot. Arriving officers quickly located the two and they were booked into jail on suspicion of Burglary and Possessing Stolen Property.

A couple called police after being scammed over the phone by people claiming to offer a great "business investment opportunity." The couple was contacted over the messaging service WhatsApp and were convinced to "invest" thousands of dollars in a business. The victims did so, did not receive any of the promised returns on investment and then discovered they had been scammed. The true identity of the suspects is not known at this time.

A man reported his car had been prowled at the same location on two separate occasions. There was no signs of forced entry and the suspect is not known.

An unscrupulous fraudster ripped off a troop of Girl Scouts when he used a counterfeit bill to buy several boxes of cookies. The suspect bought $30 worth of cookies, handed over a fake $100 bill and received $70 in change. The parents helping the Girl Scouts noticed later that the bill didn't look right and reported it to RPD. There was no security footage available of the shameless suspect and his identity is not yet known.

A thief entered an unlocked car and stole a purse left inside while the victim was dining at a nearby restaurant. There was no suspect information available.
March 3, 2019

A prowler entered an unlocked vehicle sometime over night and rifled through the car's contents. The victim did not think anything of value had been taken by the unidentified suspect.
