January 14, 2019
Police investigated a break-in after a man came home from vacation to find his garage door open and his vehicle prowled. The unknown suspect did not appear to enter the main house.

A thief stole a car that was parked at a local apartment complex. There was no suspect information available.

A witness called police after seeing two subjects smash a business' glass door with rocks and enter the shop. Officers searched the area but did not locate the suspects. Evidence gathered at the scene is being processed and the investigation is ongoing.
January 16, 2019

A 20-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of Obstructing after he jaywalked, refused to stop when directed to do so by police and then was uncooperative when contacted. Officers saw the man skateboard diagonally across an intersection and when directed to stop he made eye contact and then kept skating away. The two bike officers followed and continued to shout "Stop, Police!" but the subject ignored police orders. The subject was detained and placed in handcuffs. During the arrest police searched his backpack and found illegal drugs, a ledger and more than $500. He was booked into jail for Obstructing and further drug charges are pending.

Redmond police arrested a 27-year-old male on suspicion of DUI and hit-and-run. Witnesses called police after seeing the suspect's vehicle crash into another vehicle and a light pole and then drive off. Bellevue police were advised of the incident and found the suspect at 16th Ave and Main St. in Bellevue. Redmond police arrived, found the driver to be exhibiting numerous signs of intoxication and booked him into jail.

A prowler stole a purse and personal documents out of a parked vehicle sometime overnight. The victim reported the unknown suspect attempted to use her credit cards soon after.

A man discovered someone had stolen his car from a parking garage while he was at work nearby. Washington State Patrol found the car abandoned on I-5 in Shoreline and returned it to the victim. No suspect has been arrested.
January 17, 2019

A 59-year-old male was arrested after a witness saw him steal $200 worth of shrimp from a local grocery store. Police located the suspect who, upon contact, bolted from the area on foot. After a brief chase through the greenbelt he was detained and arrested on suspicion of Obstructing and for having an active warrant.

Police investigated a car prowl after a man found his vehicle window had been smashed and his backpack missing. The victim reported his stolen credit cards were used soon after in various businesses in Redmond and Kirkland.

An unknown thief broke into several cars sometime overnight.

A man called police after finding his vehicle had been stolen from his apartment parking spot. No suspect has been arrested.

A woman reported having her designer purse stolen out of her cart while she was shopping. The victim told police she had stepped away from her cart for two minutes and returned to find her purse gone. Officers did not find any witnesses and there was no video footage of the incident. The suspect is unknown.
January 18, 2019

Police arrested a 26-year-old female after grocery store employees saw her take several bottles of liquor without paying.

A car prowler stole a purse out of a parked car and used the victim's credit cards a short time later. The suspect's identity is not known.

A burglar smashed the glass door of a local business sometime overnight and stole tools. There was no surveillance footage available and the suspect remains unknown.
