Redmond police arrested a female suspected of shoplifting from a local thrift store. She was also booked for obstruction as she attempted to give officers a fake name.

An unknown suspect stole a bike out of locked bicycle storage area in a local apartment complex garage.
August 21, 2018

A thief stole a bike parked in front of the victim's apartment by cutting through the cable lock. No suspect information was available.
August 22, 2018

Police found a 26-year-old man passed out in the driver's seat of an idling vehicle in the middle of the road. Officers observed the vehicle sitting at an intersection for several minutes and not moving through multiple cycles of the traffic light. Upon investigating, the driver was sound asleep at the wheel with the vehicle still in drive. Officers woke the man and observed several other obvious signs of intoxication. The suspect was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI.

A man awoke from a nap on his couch to find an uninvited male in his residence collecting snacks. The victim yelled at the suspect, who dropped the pretzels and candy bars he was holding and left the home. Officers arrived quickly, tracked down the suspect nearby and detained him without incident. The victim reported he had not felt threatened at any time by the suspect, who said he was just looking for some food and a place to sleep. The suspect's identity was not immediately clear, as he initially told police he was the son of famous martial artist, Bruce Lee. The suspect was booked on suspicion of burglary.

Police were called to intervene with an apparent domestic assault issue. All people inside the home were able to get safely outside, but the suspect refused to leave the residence. Officers were told the suspect had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's and was not in a clear mental state. SWAT arrived to assist in safely removing the suspect from the home and was able to peacefully do so several hours later. The suspect was booked into jail on suspicion of assault.

A man called police after his girlfriend's vehicle was stolen from the parking lot of a local park. At the time of the theft, the vehicle was unoccupied with unlocked doors and the keys left inside. Early the next morning a State Patrol Trooper located the stolen vehicle in Kent and arrested a 16-year-old that was driving the vehicle.

Police responded to an attempted burglary after a teenager witnessed a suspect jiggling the front door and trying to enter the residence. The suspect did not manage to enter the home and fled the area after the dog started barking. The victim said she just caught a glimpse of the suspect, who was wearing baggy clothes and a hood, but didn't have any further description.

Police investigated a break-in at a local pawn shop after the manager found the front door had been pried open and guns and jewelry had been stolen. K-9 attempted to track the suspect but was unsuccessful. The investigation is ongoing.

A woman was swindled out of almost $1000 while trying to sell a children's play structure online. The suspect contacted her under the ruse of wanting to purchase the item. The suspect sent her a check for more than the asking price and then asked her to wire the extra money to another account. The bank told the victim the check was fraudulent after she had already wired the money to the suspect. Suspects are unknown at this time.

A man discovered a bike and two snowboards had been taken out of his secured garage by an unknown suspect. The victim told police the garage door was closed nothing other than the missing items had been disturbed.
