An unknown suspect rummaged through an unlocked vehicle and stole cash, car keys to another vehicle and other items. Officers gathered evidence and sent it for processing.

A prowler smashed a car window and stole a purse that had been left on the back seat. The victim discovered the credit cards that had been taken were used in Bothell a short time after the theft.

A 20-year-old male was arrested on his birthday after stealing liquor and sodas from a grocery store. An officer driving past saw the suspect leave the store with a shopping basket full of beverages and two employees running after him. The suspect told officers he took the liquor with intention of bringing it to his birthday gathering later in the evening. He was booked on suspicion of theft and for being a minor in possession and released.

Police were called after a 26-year-old male stole wine from a local grocery store. A loss prevention employee saw the suspect conceal a box of wine in his pocket and confronted him outside. The suspect refused to cooperate with the employee and instead chugged the wine defiantly. Police arrived, knew he already had an appointment at Community Court later in the day, and escorted him there with additional suspected charges of theft 3rd degree.

A 55-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting and possession of drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine after he was seen stealing liquor and snacks by grocery store employees.

Redmond officers assisted Bellevue police in apprehending a man suspected of starting about two dozen Dumpster fires in Redmond and Bellevue. The suspect, a 57-year-old male, was tracked to some bushes and taken into custody by Bellevue PD. Fire crews extinguished the flames quickly and there were no injuries.

A laptop and other items were stolen out of a vehicle parked in front of the victim's home sometime overnight. No suspect information was available.

A woman called police after her purse was stolen from her shopping cart as her back was turned selecting groceries. There was no suspect information available.

An unknown thief stole a backpack with personal documents out of a parked vehicle parked outside a local fast food restaurant.

Redmond police arrested a person suspected of smashing windows to gain entry to an apartment leasing office. A resident heard the windows breaking, observed the female suspect leaving the area and called police. The suspect was not immediately located, but a few hours later an apartment complex employee spotted the suspect in the area and police detained her. The suspect had multiple outstanding arrest warrants and was booked into jail on suspicion of trespassing and vandalism.

Police responded to a home security alarm to find the house had been ransacked and burglarized while the residents were out. It appeared the suspect broke a window in the garage to gain entry. Evidence gathered at the scene is being processed and the investigation is ongoing.
