July 23, 2018

An unknown suspect added themselves to a woman's IRA account and was able to withdrawal $9000 before the victim discovered the fraud. The suspect was in the process of moving more than $100,000 additional dollars from her account but that was stopped before it was completed. The bank and investment company are working on recovering the funds.

An officer discovered a small brush fire alongside 160th Ave NE that burned up a patch of grass and a campaign sign. The officer pulled a fire extinguisher from his trunk and quickly put out the fire.
July 24, 2018

A woman returned to her car to find her window had been broken and her backpack that was left on the seat missing.

Two vehicles parked in the same lot were hit by car prowlers and the victims lost bags, cash and other property that had been left in the cars. Officers gathered evidence to be processed but there was no immediate suspect information available.
July 25, 2018

A man returned from work to find his car had been stolen from a local parking lot. Police located the vehicle in Federal Way the following day.

- Location: 15900 block of NE 85th St.
- Case Number: 18-003969
A 17-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of reckless burning and obstructing a police officer after he was detained at the scene of two small fires. Officers and Firefighters responded to fires burning by the Redmond Library and another by the Senior Center. A witness told police he saw the suspect and described him and the direction in which he fled. Officers were able to track down the suspect, take him into custody and book him into jail. The juvenile suspect was then released into the custody of his mother and will face charges in court.

A woman called police after returning to her vehicle after shopping to find her car window smashed and backpack stolen. Officers gathered evidence at the scene and sent it for processing.

Police investigated a car prowl after a man found his vehicle's window had been smashed sometime overnight and a large bag with sports equipment had been stolen. There was no suspect information available.

A man called police after discovering 26 plants had been stolen from his property sometime the night before. The plants appeared to have been chosen at random. Both the suspect's identity and whereabouts of the flora remain unknown.
