July 16, 2018

Several thousand dollars worth of copper wire and aluminum platform material was stolen from a construction site by an unknown suspect or suspects. A separate contractor at the site also had a cargo trailer stolen around the same time. Investigation is ongoing.

A Redmond Parks employee found several pieces of stolen mail in a local park and turned it into police. Officers contacted the mail owners, returned some stolen property, and sent pieces of evidence for fingerprinting.
July 17, 2018

A woman called police after she found her front door had been forced open and the lock broken. No suspects were found in the home and most of the apartment was intact except for one bedroom closet had been rifled through.
July 18, 2018

A male was arrested on suspicion of assault after police responded to a large fight in a local park. The suspect had apparently struck a female victim in the leg with a metal pipe. The victim was taken to a local hospital and the suspect was booked into jail.

Police responded to a report of a car prowl that occurred sometime overnight. Someone entered an unlocked vehicle and took a flashlight and pepper spray. There are no known suspects at this time.

A woman reported her personal information had been fraudulently used to open utilities accounts in Delaware.
July 20, 2018

A man called police after his motorcycle was stolen from a parking garage while he was working at a nearby construction site. Officers inquired about any available security footage but none was found. There is no suspect information at this time.

Officers investigated a commercial burglary after a construction site office door was found pried open and a couple small items had been stolen. No suspect information was available.
July 22, 2018

Redmond police were called to an in-progress residential burglary and found a mental-emotional male had broken into the home. The residents awoke to strange noises in the early hours and found a huge mess and food strewn about in their kitchen. They then saw the suspect was in their daughter's room apparently attempting to comforting the child. Officers detained the suspect, who was calm and not aggressive, and escorted him out of the home. The suspect was booked into jail. None of the residents were physically harmed during the incident.

An unknown prowler smashed a car window and stole a purse that had been left inside under the front seat.

A man reported his motorcycle had been stolen while parked near a local grocery store. The victim searched the area on his own and then found the motorcycle behind a building nearby, hidden in the bushes. Police are investigating whether there is any footage of the incident and subsequent suspect information.
