July 9, 2018

- Location: 7900 block of Gilman St., 17100 block of Redmond Way, and vicinity
Numerous businesses were struck by burglars in the Redmond downtown corridor sometime in the early morning hours. The thieves either smashed windows or forced doors open to gain entry and appeared to be targeting cash registers. Cash and other property was taken from several of the businesses. Redmond police recommend businesses not leave a large amount of cash in their till overnight if possible. Investigators also encourage businesses to have quality security cameras to help identify the perpetrators.

Several vehicles were broken into sometime during the night by an unknown suspect.

A man reported that an unknown suspect cut a lock and stole his bike from his apartment parking garage sometime in the last several weeks.
July 10, 2018

A prowler broke into a car through a slightly open window and stole a purse that had been left in the vehicle. Officers checked with surrounding businesses for surveillance footage but there was none.
July 11, 2018

- Case: 18-003713
A woman arrived home to find her front door had been pried open and several electronics and other items had been stolen. Evidence at the scene was sent for processing and the investigation is ongoing.
July 13, 2018

- Case: 18-003752
Police responded to a report that a phone and some cash had been stolen from inside an apartment sometime while the resident was home. The victim said the items had been on a table in the living room earlier in the day and then were suddenly gone. The door had been left unlocked and the victim speculated someone might have entered the home while he was in the shower. No suspect has been identified.

A man filed a police report after he had been duped by on online seller into purchasing fake gold bars. The victim took the bars to a gemological consulting service who confirmed they were not real gold.
July 15, 2018

A couple reported that someone had entered their second floor apartment through an open sliding patio door, rummaged through a purse, and stole some cash. No suspect information was available.

A man called police after his security camera was stolen off his residence and some odd landscaping related activities had been occurring on on his property. The victim reported someone had stealthily trimmed some bushes and cut the grass in his backyard a few weeks ago. Another security camera on his property had captured someone in his yard digging dirt and leaving with a bucket of soil. He told police he had not authorized the suspicious unsolicited gardening.
