Sept. 21, 2020

- Type: Theft of Motor Vehicles
- Case Number: 20-017854
Two work vans belonging to separate companies were stolen from an apartment parking lot sometime overnight. A Sergeant spotted one van in a visitor parking stall in the 15000 block of NE 82nd St. The other work van was found in another resident’s parking spot in the same lot from where it had been stolen. Evidence was gathered from both vehicles and sent for processing. No suspects have been identified.

Unidentified burglars broke into a resident’s garage and stole numerous tools. Evidence gathered from the garage is being processed.
Sept. 22, 2020

A thief stole a bike that had been parked in front of a store while the owner shopped. The suspect has not been identified.
Sept. 24, 2020

- Type: Vehicle Prowl

Three car prowlers were interrupted mid-thieving when the car’s owner saw them in her vehicle. The crooks snatched her wallet and some personal items before jumping into a white SUV and speeding away. There was little information available about the suspects, and they have not been identified.
Sept. 25, 2020

A 51-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after an officer witnessed him driving erratically and swerving on SR520 near the Redmond Way ramp. Several DUI tests confirmed the driver was impaired, and he was booked into jail.
Sept. 26, 2020

- Type: Vehicle Prowls
- Case Number: 20-018270
Two parked cars were prowled, and the thief stole cash, a garage door opener and other items. There was no sign of forced entry on either vehicle. The suspect’s identity is not known.

- Location: 15500 block of NE Turing St.
- Type: Fraud
- Case Number: 20-018194
A potential puppy purchaser was duped out of almost $2000 by a fraudster posing as the dog’s seller through an online account. After negotiating a price for the puppy, the thief increased the price claiming the need for insurance and a crate to ship the dog. The victim sent money through the payment app Zelle before realizing the sale was a scam, and the puppy was not being sent. There is currently no information about the suspect’s identity.

- Type: Shoplift/Assault

A shoplifter punched a grocery store employee in the face after he was confronted about stealing vitamins. The employee followed the suspect outside the store after seeing him steal the merchandise, the two got into an argument, and then the thief fled in a gold, late-model sedan with no license plate.

- Case Number: 20-018242
An unidentified thief stole a 1995 Nissan Altima from an apartment parking spot. No suspect information was available.
