August 17, 2020

- Type: Commercial Burglary
Three neighboring small businesses were broken into overnight by an unidentified thief. The suspect smashed the glass front doors to gain access and made off with cash from the registers and other items. Evidence gathered is being processed, and the investigation continues.
August 18, 2020

An unidentified prowler smashed a parked car window and stole the purse and shoes left inside. Evidence was collected at the scene and was sent for processing.
August 19, 2020

A man called police after interrupting a car prowl in progress in his vehicle. The suspect snatched the victim's wallet, electronics and other items and left the area in another vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.

A burglar entered a vacant apartment through an open patio window, damaged various property and flooded the floor by leaving the faucet running. There was no suspect information available.
August 20, 2020

A 58-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. An officer observed the driver going considerably below the speed limit and swerving in and out of his lane. After failing several sobriety tests, the suspect was booked into jail. He is facing charges for DUI and for driving with a suspended license.

A thief posing as a Department of Homeland Security Officer duped a man out of almost $3000 by aggressively threatening him over the phone with arrest if he did not pay up. Scams involving fraudsters posing as officials from a consulate, Social Security Administration, law enforcement and other agencies are common. Government agencies will never demand payment over the phone, nor will they require payment in gift cards. People who receive these calls should refuse to provide any personal information and immediately end the call.

An unknown crook stole a bike locked to a bike rack in front of a local store.

A thief swiped a golf bag that had been left outside the golf club's front entrance while the owner was inside the building. There were no witnesses or video available of the crime, and the suspect has not been identified.
August 22, 2020

A car prowler smashed a window and stole a purse that had been left inside. The thief's identity is not known.
August 23, 2020

- Type: Commercial Burglary
- Case Number: 20-015870
A burglar broke into the maintenance storage lockers at a local hotel and stole a bicycle. The suspect has not been identified.
