REDMOND, Wash. - Police have arrested the suspect involved in the recent shooting of a 31-year-old male in Downtown Redmond.
Thanks to excellent descriptions of the car and driver provided to police, an officer recognized the suspect's vehicle yesterday just after 5 p.m. The officer spotted the car at Redmond Way and Cleveland Ave, just blocks from where the shooting occurred Sunday night.
Officers detained the two subjects in the car for questioning, and investigators quickly learned the 22-year-old driver was the suspected shooter.
The victim was shot around 8 p.m. on Sunday at the corner of Cleveland St. and 164th Ave NE after the two men had a short verbal altercation. The shooter then drove off and the victim was taken to a local hospital. The victim suffered significant injuries and is still being treated.
