REDMOND, Wash - The Redmond Police Department received a 911 call At 4:13 p.m. on June 3 reporting an armed robbery outside of an apartment complex in the 8500 block of 163rd Ct NE. The victim stated he had just been robbed at gunpoint by multiple suspects brandishing handguns. The victim was able to describe the suspect vehicle, which was spotted fleeing westbound on SR520 by responding officers.
Officers attempted to stop the car, but the vehicle continued westbound at a high rate of speed. Redmond officers pursued the suspect vehicle into Seattle on the freeway. Upon exiting onto Montlake Blvd., the four occupants of the car exited and ran. With the assistance of Seattle PD, Washington State Patrol, and the UW Police Department, all four suspects were located and taken into custody.
No injuries were sustained during the initial robbery, or subsequent capture of the suspects. Redmond Detectives are working to thoroughly investigate the incident.
