REDMOND, Wash. - Redmond Detectives are asking for the public's assistance in identifying a robbery suspect who assaulted two people and stole a business' cash deposit bags last month.
Police were called at 12:23 p.m. on May 26 to a report of a robbery at an auto parts store in the 17100 block of Redmond Way. An employee had been walking to his car in the parking lot to go make a cash deposit when a male sprung out from behind a dumpster, pepper-sprayed him, and ran off with bags of cash.
An employee from a neighboring business saw the suspect running, attempted to stop him and then was also pepper-sprayed in the face.
Victims and witnesses described the thief as a white male, age 30 or older, bald, about 6 feet tall with a skinny build. He was wearing a blue bandanna on his face, a plain black hoodie, jeans, and Vans sneakers. Witnesses said they saw him jump into an early 2000s, tan, Honda Accord with a broken front passenger hub cap. The vehicle was reportedly driven by a white female in her 20s with long, brown hair.
