REDMOND, Wash. - The lack of leads surrounding the death of a 38-year-old Seattle man in Redmond last summer has detectives asking again if anyone knows what happened to him.
A passerby found seriously injured Francis Gaspar lying in the middle of West Lake Sammamish Parkway near Leary Way just before midnight on July 29, 2019.
Gaspar was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries the following day. The King County Medical Examiner determined the cause of death was blunt force trauma to his head.
There were no apparent signs that he had been hit by a vehicle, and Gaspar’s Volkswagen was nowhere to be found nearby. Police searched the area for any surveillance footage, but none was located.
Police also conducted an extensive search around Perrigo Park after Gaspar’s car was found there a week after his death. No evidence was found that pointed to a clear explanation of what happened.
Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound is offering a $1000 dollar reward for any information leading to an arrest and charge of the person or persons responsible for Francis Gasper's death. The family of the victim is also offering a cash reward of $1000 for any information that leads to the arrest and charge of the person or persons responsible. This brings the total reward money to $2000.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-222-TIPS or submit their anonymous tip thru the P3 Tip App on their phone.
