August 24, 2020

Detectives are investigating a burglary of a woman's home while she was out of town for several weeks. The thief stole jewelry, appliances and other valuable items. The suspect has not yet been arrested.
August 25, 2020

A 22-year-old man faces Reckless Endangerment charges for a July incident where he injured his friend by negligently discharging a firearm. The two had been handling a newly purchased gun when the suspect fired and hit his friend in the lower abdomen. The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and released a few days after the incident. Detectives determined the shooting was not intentional and stressed the importance of taking a firearm safety course before purchasing guns.

A thief stole a parked truck that had been left unlocked with the keys inside. No suspect information was immediately available.

A man reported he had been the victim of a phone scam by a caller posing as a Social Security Administration Officer. The fraudster told the victim that he was a suspect in a major crime and was on the FBI's most-wanted list. To strengthen the lies, the caller had even cloned the actual FBI phone number so it would show up on the victim's caller ID. The thief instructed the victim to purchase thousands of dollars worth of gift cards and relay the card numbers over the phone. Scams involving people posing as government officials or law enforcement are common. Actual government officials will never threaten arrest over the phone or demand payment in gift cards. Never share personal information or financial details with unknown callers.

Police investigated a burglary after the resident discovered someone had removed her air conditioner from her window to access her home. The victim told officers the thief had stolen several pieces of jewelry. Police sent collected evidence for processing and are continuing to investigate the crime.

A man called police after discovering his Ford Focus had been stolen from his apartment's parking garage sometime overnight. The suspect is not known.
August 27, 2020

A 21-year-old male was arrested after he threatened a store employee with a box cutter while being confronted about shoplifting. The suspect left the store, and police found him a few blocks away after a short search. The employee was not injured, and the suspect was booked into jail and is facing robbery charges.

A prowler stole a set of golf clubs, a wallet, and other valuables out of an unlocked vehicle. No suspect information was immediately available.
August 28, 2020

A thief stole a wallet out of a parked car and used the victim's credit cards at several local stores. The investigation into the suspect's identity is ongoing.
August 29, 2020

A thief smashed a parked car's window and stole a purse that had been left inside.

- Location: 6900 block of 132nd Place
- Type: Theft
Officers investigated reports of mail theft. The suspect is not known.
August 30, 2020

Redmond police arrested a 60-year-old female after she drove into another vehicle and then left the scene. The victim was not seriously injured, and the suspect is facing charges for Hit and Run.

A 29-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of burglary after breaking into a secured bicycle locker in a parking garage and stealing a bike.
