Changes to Council Meetings During Month of March
Following guidance from King County Public Health and the Washington State Attorney General’s Office regarding social distancing and remote meeting attendance, the City is taking the following steps for Council meetings during the month of March:
- Council and staff have the option to attend the meetings remotely utilizing appropriate technology;
- Anyone in attendance will be asked to practice social distancing; and
- Information only agenda items may be provided in written form rather than have staff provide a report in person.
The Council Chambers will continue to be open to the public during Council meetings in accordance with the Open Public Meetings Act.
In the interest of the safety and welfare of the community, the public is encouraged to watch live streaming of the Committee of the Whole meetings (Tuesdays at 4:30 p.m.) and the Council meetings (Tuesdays at 7:30 p.m.) through RCTV or Facebook Live (@CityofRedmond). RCTV is available on both Comcast and Frontier cable systems. On Comcast, you can watch us on channel 21, and with Frontier, we’re located on channel 34.
For the Council Business Meeting scheduled for March 17, 2020, the public may submit a comment for Items from the Audience to firstname.lastname@example.org if they would prefer not to attend the meeting in person.
