Redmond Appoints New Finance Director

Redmond Finance Director Kelley Cochran

REDMOND, WA – At last night’s meeting, the Redmond City Council approved Mayor Angela Birney’s appointment of Kelley Cochran as the City of Redmond’s new Finance Department director.

Cochran, who has worked for the City of Redmond for more than 20 years, including the last five as the deputy finance director and most recently serving as interim finance director, will begin her new role immediately. 

“Kelley is a knowledgeable, dedicated, team player committed to financial accuracy and accountability,” said Mayor Angela Birney. “Her dedication to ensuring community input informs our city budget and her focus on process improvement continually benefits the City and community.” 

Cochran’s experience encompasses financial forecasting and strategy development, budget development and management, utility rate setting, policy analysis, and organizational development activities of the City. Director Cochran holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and certifications in public finance leadership.
