REDMOND, WA – The City of Redmond has one opening to serve on the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC). The member who fills the position would complete the remainder of an existing term through March 31, 2024, and then the member is eligible for two, four-year reappointments. In alignment with the Washington state RCW 67.28.1817, the City is recruiting a candidate who represents a business required to collect tax under the RCW, such as an individual working in hotel management. Qualified candidates should have an interest in tourism-related activities.
The LTAC’s role is to advise the City Council on options to enhance tourism activities in Redmond, make recommendations on special events, matching grants, and later review the success of those completed events. The LTAC also reviews proposals from the City’s marketing consultant and proposes changes to the Tourism Promotion Program. The seven-member volunteer committee meets quarterly, or as needed.
To learn more about LTAC and to apply, please visit redmond.gov/Commissions, and scroll down to the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee. Complete the application and include your resume or letter of interest. There is no deadline, but interested individuals are encouraged to apply by 5 p.m. on April 21, 2023.
