Redmond Lights Returns to Downtown Park

REDMOND, WA – Redmond Lights, a celebration of Redmond’s diverse winter traditions through art and light, will illuminate Downtown Park once again this year. The community can enjoy the free, month-long art and lights experience from Dec. 1, 2022 – Jan. 4, 2023.

All month long, Downtown Park will showcase various light features and temporary public art, highlighting the diversity of Redmond’s community. Cleveland Street and 164th Avenue NE will also be lit to lead participants to shopping and dining at Redmond Town Center. In addition to the art and light installations, new Friday Night Celebrations will take place from 6 – 9 p.m. on Dec. 2, 9, and 16. These evening gatherings will feature live entertainment, booths, and various activities, and all are invited to participate. On Dec. 3, OneRedmond will host its new International Winter Market at Redmond Lights with local vendors and activities.

“This year’s Redmond Lights experience continues to give our community the opportunity to gather in celebration of our diverse cultures and traditions,” said Mayor Angela Birney. “I am excited for us to come together to enjoy this year’s artwork and take part in all of the fun-filled festivities.”

Redmond Lights 2022 is a free experience open to all throughout the month, with no ticketing or registration required. In addition to the displays and Friday Night Celebrations, Redmond Lights will also feature a resident lighting contest, a business window decorating contest, and a kids’ coloring contest, in partnership with Redmond Town Center. Businesses surrounding Downtown Park are also invited to become Blinker Stops to help distribute this year’s exclusive Redmond Lights blinker to participants. The month-long experience is made possible thanks to generous contributions from presenting sponsors MicrosoftAmazon, and Redmond Town Center.
