Redmond Police Join Pink Patch Project to Support Breast Cancer Awareness

Redmond Police Pink

Redmond Police Department (RPD) joins law enforcement agencies across the nation for the Pink Patch Project, a campaign that promotes public awareness in the fight against breast cancer and supports cancer research organizations. This effort coincides with Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The Pink Patch Project is a national effort in which many law enforcement officers wear a pink version of their agency’s shoulder patch. During the month of October, Redmond officers and professional staff have the option to wear pink versions of the Redmond police patch. RPD has participated in the Pink Patch Project since 2020.

“We are proud to partner with other agencies to show our support for the millions who are affected by breast cancer,” said Police Chief Darrell Lowe.

The commemorative shoulder patches, hat patches, lapel pins, and challenge coins are available for the public to purchase for $10 each during the month of October. All proceeds raised will go to the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance to benefit research and treatment of breast cancer.

To purchase pink patch items, send a check payable to Redmond Police Foundation at Redmond Police Department, Attn: Pink Patch Project, P.O. Box 98010, Redmond, WA 98073. Please specify the desired items and a valid mailing address.
