REDMOND, WA – With a commitment to fostering an inclusive community, Redmond is proud to celebrate Welcoming Week from Sept. 9 -18. The City joins hundreds of other jurisdictions across the nation celebrating the contributions of all residents to the health, vitality, and prosperity of local communities.
Events are planned across the Eastside bringing all segments of the community together. Participants can enjoy world dance, film screenings, music, food, and more. The celebration creates opportunities for community members to meet their neighbors and make connections.
“Redmond is honored to join this nationwide movement annually,” said Mayor Angela Birney. “Ensuring everyone in our community feels welcomed, valued, and supported each day is vital to the success of our city. This week illuminates opportunities for our community to come together, strengthen relationships, and feel a sense of belonging.”
