COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Information for the Development Services Center
City of Redmond Development Services Center will remain closed through March 31st, 2021. City staff are teleworking while facilities are closed and available by phone, email and website. Visit redmond.gov/COVID-19 for updates. Please contact permittech@redmond.gov or 425-556-2473 with any questions regarding permits, allow ample time for responses to inquiries.
The Development Services Center is still accepting online applications for Over The Counter permits through the REPS website www.redmond.gov/reps AND Plan Review Online (PRO) permits are still being accepted for review. View the Plan Review Online page to start that application process.
For Over the Counter OR Plan Review permits that do not allow for online submittal at this time, please email the completed application forms and required submittal documents (for plan review) to permittech@redmond.gov for processing. Visit the Applications and Forms page to download applications and submittal checklists.
The Development Services Center (DSC) is responsible for reviewing and issuing a wide array of Land Use and Construction Permits ranging from simple same day permits to complex development projects.
The permit you need to execute your project will depend on what type of project you are working on. The DSC has staff from Planning, Building, Civil and Fire Prevention available to answer questions and guide you through the application process.

City of Redmond Inviting Applications for 2021-2022 Annual Docket of Comprehensive Plan Amendments
- The application deadline for the 2021-2022 Docket Cycle will close on April 1.
A pre-application conference is required prior to submittal.
The City of Redmond will not be accepting applications in 2022 (2022-2023 Docket Cycle) or 2023 (2023-2024 Docket Cycle) for Comprehensive Plan Amendments.
The City is currently undertaking the periodic review of the Comprehensive Plan required under RCW 36.70A.130We encourage you to submit your ideas and requests as part of the Redmond 2050 Comprehensive Plan Update.
