Downtown
Vision
Extensive private and public investment is helping Downtown realize the longtime community vision of becoming one of Redmond's two vibrant urban centers. The City values environmental stewardship, housing choices and efficient transportation and has worked strategically to create a Downtown neighborhood to achieve this vision.
Downtown is targeted to accommodate one-third of Redmond's planned housing growth through 2030. Since 2010, more than 1,200 new multifamily homes have been issued permits and the Downtown center is on track for a nearly three-fold increase in population, from 4,300 in 2010 to 11,400 in 2030.
Redmond will continue to evolve as the place people desire to live, work, play and invest.
