Update as of 1.24.20
The applicant, Emerald Heights, applied for land use applications to add independent and assisted living buildings, as described above. After review of the land use applications, the City of Redmond recommended approval of these permits. The Abbey Road Homeowner’s Association appealed the SEPA determination. In January 2019, the Hearing Examiner heard the associated land use applications and the SEPA appeal. The Hearing Examiner denied the SEPA appeal and approved the land use applications. The Abbey Road Homeowner’s Association then filed a petition to King County Superior Court. King County Superior Court entered an order overturning the City Hearing Examiner’s decision on the SEPA appeal. At this time, the parties are continuing to work towards resolution.
