The City is undertaking a periodic rewrite of its Zoning Code. The previous such effort was completed in 2011. The 2020-2021 update is an foundational effort to streamline and increase alignment to the Community Strategic Plan, Housing Action Plan, and the Long-Term Recovery Plan (COVID-19). Phase 1 of the rewrite also includes the Annual Code Amendment series involving minor code corrections and updates per legislative changes, and the Bridge "the Gap" Amendments to Overlake (OV) and Marymoor Design Districts (MDD) regulations.
Zoning Code Cleanup Amendments are currently in progress.
