National Night Out
National Night Out is Back for 2021!
Join us for a night out against crime Tuesday, August 3.
Gather safely with your neighbors for an evening of fun while rediscovering your own community. Games and BBQs are great ways to strengthen the bond between those you live alongside, and help to make your homes safer.
Register your party with us and staff from Redmond Police, Redmond Fire, and elected City officials will make every effort to stop by and visit with you and your neighbors.
Registration closed Friday, July 23, 2021.
About National Night Out
National Night Out (NNO) is a unique crime/drug prevention event sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW). On the first Tuesday of August, thousands of neighborhoods across the country will be participating in this event.
Thank you to the 57 neighborhood groups who registered and participated with us in 2019 and thank you to the over 100 homes that participated in our 2020 National Night "In" event held in lieu of gathering with our neighbors last year.
National Night out is designed to do the following:
- Heighten crime/drug prevention awareness.
- Send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
- Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships.
National Night Out is about individual neighborhoods coming together. Although we make every effort to accommodate visit requests, the nature of our job may prevent us from attending. We encourage party organizers to not make any promises to your guests, in case we are unable to attend.
Registering Your Party
Registration for Redmond neighborhood parties generally opens in late spring. Registering your event gives you the opportunity to request visits from the Redmond Police Department, Redmond Fire Department, and your Mayor and City Council members. We will try to make appearances between 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. that night. If you have a particular question or neighborhood concern you would like addressed, please note that on your registration.
If you have questions, please contact via email Crime Prevention.
