Fire Station Tours & Ride-Alongs

Fire Station Tours

Visitors are welcome to meet firefighters, paramedics and emergency medical technicians and see the equipment used to keep their neighborhoods safe. Find a fire station through the Fire Station and Medic Unit Locator page.

Availability

Tours of the City of Redmond fire stations are available on a prearranged and approved basis daily from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tours will last no longer than one hour. Requests will be fulfilled based on available resources; however, we may not be able to fulfill all requests.

Size Limits

Tours are limited to groups of 25 or fewer (adults and children). Groups larger than 25 will be split into smaller groups, or you may request a fire crew visit (see below). Only one tour will be conducted at a time.

Tour Request

To arrange a tour, please complete the Station Tour Request Form (PDF). Allow at least two weeks for processing and arranging your request.  Please note:  the Redmond Fire Department does not host birthday parties.  You may bring your birthday group for a station tour; however, party room/accommodations will not be made available.

Notice

Please be aware that crews at the fire stations are on call 24 hours a day. Even with scheduled tours, the possibility exists that the crew could be called out prior to or during your scheduled tour due to an emergency. If the crew is called out during your scheduled tour, it will be necessary to end the tour and exit the station.

Fire Crew Visits

For groups larger than 25 people or those interested in having a fire crew visit your site, please complete the Fire Crew Visit Request Form (PDF). Allow at least two weeks for processing and arranging your request. Visits will last no longer than one hour. Your request will be fulfilled based on available resources; however, we may not be able to fulfill all requests.

Ride-Alongs

Ride-Alongs are available to individuals with professional needs and are not currently offered to the general public.  If you would like to schedule a ride-along, please complete and submit the Ride Along Request Form (PDF). Additionally, riders should review and be familiar with the documents listed below prior to their scheduled ride-along. Note: ride-along requests will not be granted during an open application and hiring process.
