Join the Parks and Trails Commission
There is one vacancy for the Parks and Trails Commission beginning in April 2022. It is open to individuals who reside within Redmond city limits in the 98052 zip code. If you are interested in applying, or should you have any questions about the commission, email Jeff Aken, Parks Planning Manager.
Youth Advocate Position
Are you between the age of 14-18 and live or attend school in Redmond? Do you have three to four hours per month to commit to, that can help benefit your local community for years to come? If yes, then we are looking for you.
A Youth Advocate Helps:
- Decide what a new park should look like and what activities should take place there.
- Plan new recreation activities, trail programs or special events.
- Make decisions to protect our environment and make sure we have great parks and open space areas for the future.
- Decide how trails are used and where trails are developed in Redmond.
If you become a Youth Advocate (PDF) on the Redmond Parks and Trails Commission, you are doing all this and more! The Redmond Parks and Trails Commission is a great place for youth to get involved in the community. Download the application or call the Parks Board voice mail box at 425-556-2332 (call: 425-556-2332). If you are interested, complete the City of Redmond's Volunteer Application (PDF).
The explanatory document and application are Adobe Acrobat documents. (Obtain free Acrobat Reader to view.)
