Redmond Parks and Recreation strives to create an excellent experience for park users and participants. Financial impacts resulting from reductions in revenues for programs and events, restrictions on gathering and in-person programs, and extended closure of facilities related to the COVID-19 pandemic have resulted in Parks and Recreation staff layoffs and reduced programming in the 2021 budget.
The Parks and Recreation Department will continue to provide essential and core services, such as animal care, parks & facility maintenance, senior lunches, teen support services, and customer relations, in 2021. In addition, limited virtual and in-person activities will be available in alignment with the WA state guidelines.
