Our equestrian lesson levels 1 to 3 are designed to be repeated. Riding is a sport that needs consistency to build necessary muscles and coordination to advance and gain skills. Every child will progress at their own speed, and progression will heavily depend on consistency.
My Little Pony
Ages 2.5 - 4
|Designed for the younger riders ready to move beyond My Little Pony, but not quite ready for Level 1. Students learn the basics of safety, grooming, saddling, and riding skills|
Level 1 introduces the fundamental horsemanship, grooming, saddling, and basic mounted skills. This class is designed to be repeated at least three times before progressing to Level 2. Students who master grooming, correct riding posture, reigning an obstacle course off-lead, and can perform a correct sitting trot will proceed to next level.

Develop important horsemanship skills, correct riding position, confidence while trotting, and work towards complete independence inside the arena. Prerequisite: A minimum of 3 times repeating Level 1 classes.
|Gain strength and confidence through learning how to: independently groom, saddle, and successfully ride off-lead at the walk and trot. Prerequisite: completion level 2 within last 3 months, and ability to ride without volunteer helpers.|

Ages 7 and up
|Formerly the Custom Equestrian Lessons, students who have completed Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 series will gain advanced skills through Level 4 lessons. Riders must be able to independently groom and saddle, and perform off-lead trotting exercises. Instructor approval and recommendation is required, as is the ability to ride without a volunteer helper.|

Enjoy a ride through the majestic forest. The trail ride leaves from the historic farm, meanders through the forest and meadow, over bridges, and past the salmon streams. A wonderful way for the whole family to enjoy some quality time on horseback viewing everything this unique park has to offer. Participant's weight and height is restricted up to 180 pounds and 6'0 tall. We offer family trail rides and group trail rides for ages 5 to 7 and 8 to 12.
The Farrel-McWhirter Riding School youth camps offer an outstanding experience for equestrian enthusiasts ages 5 to 12 years. Students work with their own pony and receive one-on-one instruction. Campers will explore beautiful Farrel-McWhirter Park, enjoy crafts, equine education, and plenty of outdoor games.
