Reservoir Park Sport Court and Tank

Reservoir Park

Project Overview

The Reservoir Park Sport Court sits on top of a 4-million gallon drinking water reservoir – both the tank and the sport court were built 50 years ago, in 1975. The buried tank is approximately 160 feet in diameter and about 28 feet deep.

In 2023, a structural condition assessment was performed on the tank, and it was found to be in very good condition.
To extend the useful life of the tank and prepare for the new sports court, this project will:

  • Remove the existing surface.
  • Inspect the tank concrete leveling surface.
  • Repair any defects and joints.
  • Install new site drainage.
  • Apply a structural waterproofing coating to the entire surface prior to placement of the new sport court surface.
  • Replace the sport court

The new courts will match the profile of the existing original courts and include markings for tennis, pickleball, and basketball. The project also includes new fencing and noise barriers, new sidewalk, curb ramps, an ADA parking stall, and restriping the parking area.

All trees on the site will be preserved. An arborist will monitor work to provide direction on protecting the trees.
After construction is complete (estimated September 2025), information on these sports courts will be found on the Reservoir Park webpage.
