Redmond Central Connector Phase 3

Redmond Central Connector Phase Three Project Area Map

Project Overview:

This project will build the final 1.6 miles of the trail from Redmond to Kirkland and Woodinville trail connections across NE 124th Street. Construction began in Fall 2024 and is expected to be completed in Summer 2025. When phase three is complete, the Redmond Central Connector will be completed as a 3.9-mile trail corridor, connecting multiple neighborhoods of Redmond and linking dozens of miles of trails to Sammamish and Issaquah to the south, and Kirkland and Woodinville to the north.

This section of the trail will include:

  • A 12-foot-wide paved path made of hot mix asphalt with 2 to 3-foot gravel shoulders.
  • Installation of a new pedestrian traffic signal at the 9900 Block and NE 100th Court, and modifications to traffic signals at NE 102nd Street, NE 116th Street, and NE 124th Street, along with a new illumination system.
  • Raised trail crossings.
  • Decorative concrete surface improvements at intersections.
  • Hardscape and landscape features.
  • Roadway reconstruction at NE 116th Street.
  • Intersections upgrades along the 9900 Block, NE 100th Court, NE 102nd Street, NE 116th Street, and NE 124th Street, including the addition of curb ramps, curb and gutter installations, and pavement restoration.
  • New storm drainage installation.
