Request for Proposals

The City of Redmond Human Services Division is soliciting proposals for one-time funding of human services projects or activities that align with the Human Services Strategic Plan and support the health and well-being of individuals and families in Redmond. The intent of this request is to support smaller, emerging community organizations that may not have been able to access government funding in the past. This is one-time funding and should not be used to address long-term funding and/or program operation gaps.

Grant funding uses include, but are not limited to:

  • Programs or services that meet a critical or emerging community need.
  • Support to improve effective agency operations (e.g., training, language translation, technology needs, etc.)

Who Can Apply?

501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations or those with a 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor are welcome to apply if their program or service:

  • will benefit Redmond residents
  • can accept reimbursement of funds previously spent
  • has general liability insurance and is willing to name the City as additional insured

Selection Criteria

In addition to the above requirements, preference will be given to:

  • organizations with annual budgets up to $1 million
  • programs or activities that primarily serve under-represented communities
  • programs or activities that support one or more of the Strategic Plan priority areas (see p 22)

Applicants may be asked to present their proposals to the Redmond Human Services Commission on Monday evening, November 13 between 6:30 and 7:30 pm.
