Service Alert
Redmond Parks and Recreation strives to create an excellent experience for park users and participants. Financial impacts resulting from reductions in revenues for programs and events, restrictions on gathering and in-person programs, and extended closure of facilities related to the COVID-19 pandemic have resulted in Parks and Recreation staff layoffs and reduced programming in the 2021 budget.
The Parks and Recreation Department will continue to provide essential and core services, such as animal care, parks & facility maintenance, senior lunches, teen support services, and customer relations, in 2021. In addition, limited virtual and in-person activities will be available in alignment with the Healthy Washington – Roadmap to Recovery plan outlined by the Governor.
Learn more about impacts to Parks & Recreation programs and services due to the COVID-19 pandemic and 2021-2022 budget reductions by viewing our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs).
We are committed to safe, welcoming and high quality facilities and parks, where people can connect, celebrate and build community. Rentals are available at community center locations, outdoor spaces such as picnic shelters, and our two historic cabins at Anderson Park.
