Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering with Redmond Senior ProgramsUntitled design (41)

Volunteers have played a key role in the success of Redmond Senior Programs for over 30 years. Our volunteers provide an invaluable service, allowing program staff to offer a wider variety of activities and events that would not be possible without the help of dedicated senior volunteers.

Volunteering Strengthens Our Community

Yes, volunteering benefits the senior program staff and programs, but the greater benefit may be found for the individual volunteer. Volunteering provides purpose, personal fulfillment, engagement, mental and physical activity, and helps to reduce isolation by providing opportunities to work on a team, meet new people, and make friends.

What does Volunteering Look Like in 2023?

The closure of the Redmond Senior Center building in 2019 followed by nearly three years of limited activities due to the pandemic have created a time of reimaging our volunteer needs and opportunities. What has not waivered is our commitment to not only continuing, but growing our volunteer program as we journey towards the completion of the Redmond Senior & Community Center in spring of 2024. The current need for volunteers is limited at this time, however we are already creating a pool of potential volunteers to be in place for the new building opening next year.

PLEASE NOTE: There is a limited need for volunteers at this time; however, we are preparing for the opening of the new Redmond Senior & Community Center in 2024.
