Free Virtual Sustainable Living Classes – Fall and Winter 2021
The City of Redmond is hosting free online classes about living more sustainably. All classes will be interactive with a live instructor. Sign up for one or as many as you would like. Sustainable Kitchen (click to register) Tuesday, October 12th, 6:00-7:00 PM Learn how to buy, store and cook foods to prevent waste. Class includes recipes for using food scraps like making salsa from carrot tops.
Home Recycling/Composting (click to register) Tuesday, October 26th, 6:00-7:00 PM Find out which items go in your recycling or compost cart, plus tips to reduce single-use plastics. Redmond residents: complete the after-class challenge and receive a reusable bag!
Sustainable Cleaning (click to register) Friday, November 5th, 12:00-1:00 PM Learn how to choose safer cleaning products or how to make your own with simple ingredients you probably have at home. Learn how to identify safer products from the store.
