This includes information about waste reduction, recycling, safer cleaning, shopping to reduce climate impacts, and more! Check back often for news about upcoming classes and events.

Sustainable Living  - Pop Up In the Park

Waste Reduction and Recycling


When: Thursday, August 5, 2021
Time: 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Where: Downtown Park 16101 Redmond Way- look for the city table
Additional Information: 

  • Visit with a local recycling expert to learn where items go: recycling, composting, or garbage, and see live waste reduction demonstrations 
  • Win a free, reusable, metal utensil kit (While supplies last. First come first served. One per person) and pick up the most recent City of Redmond recycling guide.

City of Redmond Sustainable Living: Ask a Recycling Expert

Join the City of Redmond and Waste Management for a free, virtual event to learn what goes in your recycling, composting, and garbage. The event will begin with a brief overview from Redmond recycling experts and then open up to all your questions.

 This event will be held on two different days:

  • Thursday, August 12th ,7:00 PM - 8:00 PM
  • Thursday, September 16th ,7:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Register

All classes are free, but registration is required. Registration is open to anyone living in Redmond and beyond. The Zoom Link will be sent the day before each class.

Registration closes an hour before each class. The Zoom link will be emailed the day before each event. For same-day registrations, they will be sent shortly before the start of the class.
